    Paws Airways

Every time I think that they (pet owners) have taken the joke far enough, they keep ascending to another level. As if clothes, shoes and jewelry were not enough now there is a pet airline. Paws airways, an airline specifically for your pets, no humans allowed.

For $149 (one way) the pet is dropped off at a pet lobby into the custody of the pet attendant, who monitors them until it is time for the flight. Then they are loaded onto a specially pressurized flight and flown to one of 5 destinations (New York, DC, Chicago, Denver & Los Angeles).

Now, I know, I because I am not a pet person, I cannot grasp the whole “ my animal is like my child” or “my pet is a part of the family” deal. But, I am just saying in this economic climate where people are losing their jobs and being evicted out of their homes, think of the difference $149 would make to a hungry or homeless family. I know that you may love your animals, but should you love human beings more? Just a thought….
